Keystone Markers

PD&HS consults for the Keystone Marker Trust, an organization dedicated to the preservation and reconstruction of Pennsylvania's iconic Keystone Markers. PD&HS provides the Trust with design support, including the creation of their graphic materials and reproduction of the historic typefaces used on the original 1920s-'40s markers in digital form so that they may be fabricated accurately by modern methods. The images below show the process of creating a new marker, from documentation to fabrication.
